Getting stuff done

Marty was out of town this weekend tearing up the slopes in Park City, so the girls and I took advantage of the time and got some stuff done. I had a list of projects that needed to be finished or quickly completed.
First off, I finished sewing a new seat for Brin's baby stroller. The other one was ripped and frayed and so I thought I could sew a new one. Once again, a sewing project that once I am in the middle of I wish I never started (which honestly is ALL my sewing projects). It turned out okay, it's functional, but don't look close or you will discover the scariness that is Liza-thinking-she-knows-what-she's-doing. And for the record, I don't.
Second, we finished Brinley's bird feeder. We've been working on it for a couple of weeks, painting a little here, gluing a little there. But now it's done, in the tree with bird seed. Come and feast little birdies!
Third, we vaccumed and washed Marty's car. We switched cars about a month ago when Marty needed the Tahoe to drive up to Utah and we had not gotten around to switching back-which translates to: me being lazy about doing the whole move the carseat thing and cleaning it out, etc. It is amazing what can happen to a car in a short 4 weeks with two little girls who like to snack and play while they are in the car :) Brin had fun helping me actually wash the car, Chels had fun playing in the water and bubbles.
Saturday I also took care of:
-filling the eggs for the Easter egg hunt next week
-cut down all the dead grasses in the backyard
-moved all my wheat from the garage to the house
-planted flowers in our outdoor pot
-bathed my filthy children

What a productive day!
